Father's Day!!!!

We found so many cute options this time that we just couldn't choose... So, we are going to make you!!! Haha! We know that's tough, but you are just going to have to do it... :)

Our first project is perfect for the 'Grillin' Dad' in your life! This little box will be filled with a delicious treat and a matching hamburger greeting card.

Our second project will be the envy of all 'Golfing Dad's' everywhere! We ran out of time so we borrowed this card from another great demonstrator but ours will be very similar.

The last project is perfect for the 'Handy Dad!' This little tool box has the perfect hiding place for a gift card so Dad can go and find the perfect gift for himself!

We will need your choice for your project by May 31st so we will have time to get
all the kits together.

May * Mother's Day Book

This month we made a Mother's Day Book and a cute gift bag to put the books in to give to your mothers.

Here is the book:

Notice that the ribbon is off to the right...

Put the ribbon under the last picture. DO NOT center the ribbon. It needs to go off to the side so the ribbon ties to the right hand side (see the first picture at the top)

Here's the cute Grandma quote. For some reason this picture won't flip the right direction!

Our second project is an

Owl Gift Bag

Start off by cutting out pattern and stamping a background stamp on front and back side of bag.

Then attach the belly, nose, eyes and flower. The instructions for the flower are the same as the bunny tale from last month. The tutorial is found here: .

The inside of the bag looks like this before it is attached.

You will need two pieces of 5" x 10" paper scored like this:

the black lines are the scored lines, and the green lines will need to be cut.

Fold along all the scored lines and put together using glue or sticky strip.

You will then put sticky strip along the front and back sides of the bag to attach your owl to. Be sure to leave at least an inch of space so the sticky strip doesn't show under the owl.

After you glue the owl to front and back, punch holes in each side for the ribbon.

Voilà!

March * Memory Game

Hey there everyone. For starters we want the Blackfoot Girls to know we will get last months project up soon! PROMISE :)

As for this month, we are making a memory game. We will provide the wood, stamps, and ink. We will also provide the paper if we have what you want! If you want something particular you may want to bring your own paper. There are 22 blocks total and they will come in a cute box that fits all 22 blocks perfectly. If you want to use your own paper and if you want to save some time you can cut out your squares before you come to the class. We used the square scallop punch. You don't have to do animals, that was our choice for our own games. We will have TONS of stamps out for you to choose from!

We will also be decorating the box, so if you bring your own paper you will want to bring enough to do both front and back of blocks as well as your box!

Color Renovation

Hey everyone. We have some good news and some bad news!

Here's the news: Stampin Up! is doing a Color Renovation, which means they are getting rid of a bunch of colors, getting a bunch of new colors, and re-naming the color families!

The bad news of course is that they they are getting rid of a bunch of colors. This new change will take effect July 1st, which gives you some time to order all the things you want in any of these colors (until June 30th). This includes inks, ink refills, markers, paper, ribbons, brads, etc.

Here are the colors we are going to have say good bye to:

The good news is that we are going to be getting a bunch of new colors. Some of these colors you will recognize as "In Color" Colors from past catalogs. They are bringing back some of the most popular colors to replace some of the colors we are going to be saying goodbye to! And there are five new colors we have never seen before! This is going to be an exciting change!

Just remember you don't have to buy everything at once, you can take your time and buy the colors that are your favorites first and then work your way down your "fave" list

April * Mini Dresser

This month will be a crazy one!!! :) There will be a lot of cutting, big shotting, and taping.

Sarah and I were trying to come up with all of the different ideas you could use these for:

Office supplies
Earings
Jewelry
Candy (but then we figured that wouldn't work because it would always be empty) :)
little girls clippies and rubberbands

I'm sure you can come up with many more!

Sarah tried to tell everyone last month what we will be doing, but just in case you didn't get the info, here it is again:

You are more than welcome to use our paper to make these dressers. But if you want to make a set that matches a specific room in your house you might want to bring your own paper. You are also welcome to use any of our ribbons. The brads will be provided for you!

I will be giving all of the dimensions for the paper that you will need. This project is kind of a long one, so if you want to save some time you can pre-cut the paper to the right size before you come to the class.

Here we go!!!

Step 1:
For the top and bottom of the dresser you will make the same thing for both. So you will need two pieces of paper for the bottom and two pieces of paper for the top. Look at Dresser #1 You will need two of the brown papers and two of the flower papers. Look at Dresser #2 You would have two green papers and two strawberry papers.

The dimensions for these papers are 4 in x 5 in. (four pieces total)

Step 2:
For the six drawers you can either make them all different, all the same, or rotate the colors in different orders. Dresser # 1 has two different colors of drawers: pink and white. Dresser #2 has all the same drawers. The drawers are white with paper glued on to the front of the outside and the bottom of the inside.

The dimensions for the drawers are 6.5 in x 5.5 in. (six pieces total)

The dimensions for the plaid paper in Dresser #2 are 2.5 in x 2 in...and 2 in x 6/8 in. (12 pieces total)

Step 3:
Now we need to go over the little section of the dresser that holds the drawers in. You will make six drawer holders. Dressers #1 and #2 we have used the same color for all of this. You will need either 2 pieces of 12 x 12 paper or 3 pieces of 8.5 x 11 paper.

The dimensions for the drawers are 3 in x 7 in. (six pieces total)

To cover the outside of the dresser so you don't see the individual boxes you will need two rectangular pieces of paper which you will have left over from your 8.5 x 11 or 12 x 12 paper. (so bring your scraps!)

July's Class * Mini Card Set

This month we will be making some mini cards that cover different occasions. You will make four cards that come with four envelopes so they are ready to go whenever you need them. You will also make a box that is just the right size to hold your cards!

You will design the box however you wish. We thought the Happy Everything stamp fit well because there are cards for all occasions in the box! Come ready to be creative!

June's Class * Notepads

These cute little notepads are fun to have around the house! You can decorate them to match a certain room or decorate them with fun colors that don't match a thing :)

We will have different papers out for you to choose from and different stamp sets you can choose from.

IMPORTANT!!! If you have really cute paper at home that you would like to use, or a cute stamp set that you really like...bring it with you. You may like your paper better than ours. If you do bring your own paper you can still use ours. We want you to like the one you make!

You will need two coordinating sheets of paper for this project.

You can leave the inside blank...

Or stamp each sheet with a coordinating stamp :) Just make it fun!!!!!!!

This month we are focusing on Mother's Day! We want you to be prepared to give your mother, step-mother, mother-in-law, or grandmother something cute that will let them know how much they mean to you.

The first project is a treat bag. There are four different choices of paper and there will be some homemade treats in each bag!

The next project is a mother's day card with your choice of 5 different quotes.

Now that we are starting a new year with Stampin Up! we are going to start posting our projects online so everyone can look at what's ahead. We will try to have each project posted by the first of each month. If you have friends that might want to come you can show them the blog and leave us comments to let us know so we can be prepared for them.
